I really like the envellopes on the sylenth..
Can get really snappy basses... its not as sharp as the z3ta or even cronox its true ... but if i could get the waves of the cronox with the envellopes of the sylenth i would get the perfect bass like i want it.
Somehow I'm sure there is something that could be done better on the cronox I just don't know how. There is something that can be done ... I've heard some more satisfactory result with the cronox

On both I tweak the filter envellope the best I could ...
Those 2 examples have some processing like quadrafuzz and a light amount of comp(could do without) tiny bit of eq but nothing serious.
anyhow here to comparative examples...

sylenth bass:

cronox bass:

Right now sylenth is my favourite but who knows cronox could be better if....

A lot of people here seem to like the alien 303, I should try... is it that good. anyone has got example ?

If you ask me try ...Minimonsta or TC electronics SH-101 from powercore...

the differences are in precision of an envelope ,qulity of existing algorythm inside ,and for me also very important thing is the way of how the vst handles mix between the OSC if i use 3 waveforms for my bassline , not many of them glue them the same , also the ability of choosing each waveforms octave . after all bul...it i choose or Minimonsta or the tc electronic . ImpOSCar also not bad at all .

imho opinion & since you know how to tweak a synth like these two, theres no need to use alien (personally i hate its sound and timbre) and is much limited to its sound compared to a big synth (envelope and filter sucks at alien), i liked the first sample with the sylenth, its more round, nice
