Howdy-dowdy,

I have a little problem: i made a track, but it turned out just a little bit too fast for the vibe and groove it breathes. So i want to slow it down a little, from 145 bpm to 143 bpm. I made it at 48 Khz, and 24 bits, so i guess i could easily stretch the mixdown. But what is the best audio-stretching algorithm around... Any suggestions ? I use a pc.

You could just pitch your track down a bit. That will give the best sound quality.

I strongly agree with UnderTow... One never knows what tricksy-ness the stretching algorithm uses, unless you program them yourself

- So to avaoid nasty surprissed, do the pitch bend - it won't ruin anything when it's so little...

either pitch down, or start working on the track's bpm inside the sequencer itself.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

Thanks for the input I'll try pitching it down a bit, and i'll try the Time Factory method. Slowing it down in the sequencer is a bit difficult, because most of the track is bounced audio stuff.

Maybe someday i'll program it myself, but my knowledge of fourier transformations has faded a bit with the years so i will try the other options first
