It's hard to just pick one, but one amazing album that stumbles my mind is Son Kite - Colours... The production, innovation, the development, the blending.. Ahh!! 
Other who deserves my first-thought-respect: Grapes of Wrath & Meteloids + whole Parvaticrew. Truly amazing year for them aswell. Respect from Örebro! 
The most lame release of 2004 must be Alien Project - Don't worry be groovy!
