The "My Computer" - "Properties" window is showing a 1.00 GHz clock speed for a 2.4 GHz AMD Athlon 64 3800+ chip. Power settings are active for 'Home office/Desk' so windows should be reporting the full CPU value, right??
I'm looking for a benchmarking tool (preferrably testing at boot-up instead of through the OS) to find out what is going on. If I am running at 1GHz, that would explain why my laptop occasionally acts like it's running 256 MB of RAM when it really has 1 GB.
