I don't know anybody outside of raves and turntable.fm who listens to chillout or even knows what psybient is >_< does anyone else feel this way?
I've showed all my friends some of it, and some people have loved it, and others have found it too much for them.

I had the same experience when I was about 16 and I tried to get my schoolmates to listen to psytrance/psybient. Some of them I managed to "convert", but some were close-minded mainstreamers. Then I started going to psy parties and there I found new friends who I didn't have to convert because they were already digging it. Ut ameris, amabilis esto.

I am the only psy trance producer in my town which consists of 5000 people. Where do I collaborate? Had to teach myself from scratch about compression, EQ, DAW’s, reverb, song structure, etc etc. You cannot understand my frustration, but rather than giving up I plow on – doing it for about 12 years now. Still not near studio quality. Sucks when help is limited,, and most of the web’s guys don’t have a clue.
