I'm about to purchase my cdj1oo's and stuff to practice at home and due to bad luck (me smashing into a car) my funds went down quite a bit... so all I can affor is a cheap Behering 2 channel mixer... do you think it is worthwile just for practice, or should I hang out to buy a better one, although this is unlikely ot be possible anytime soon |

Behringer mixers for home use are not crap at all!!
I had had a Pro DX 500 mixer for 3 years now...works perfect, x-fader and sliders are smooth as silk. It has an effect send/return loop. 3 Channels, kill switches AND a 12 second sampler!!! I got it for $150...

If you are on a small budget buy a Behringer mixer. I don't think you can beat the value.

If u are buying Behringer, buy at least VMX series. Thos e DX series mixers are horrible. It'll take only couple months of playing and you'll find your slides and cross leaking and knobs making noises over the sound.
I have had Behringer DX-series mixer and played with couple of those. Every single piece was total crap. |

i agree with serotonot here.
check out the vmx series.
i own and use VMX 200 mixer when dj-ing and i really love it. the eq:s are good and the pfl-function is just the way i like it:
one knob. turn it all down left, hear channel 1 in headphones, in the middle both channels and to the down right channel 2.
also its small and portable and VERY cost worth.
