Hey, I've been producing for a little while, and have decided that the best way to sort of integrate myself into the local psy scene would be to try and start some djing so i could 1. Get my name out there, and 2. Be able to play some of my own tracks at parties without having to need enough material for a liveset or whatever.
But basically what I'm looking for is a cheap but good DJing set up (ie 2 cdjs and a mixer) that I can use to learn/practise on etc at home. Seeing as the sort of club/party standard seems to be the ole CDj100s, i'm basically looking for a cheaper alternative, but a pair that would still *feel* somewhat similiar, so i don't get to my first gig or something and play terribly because i've been using el cheapo decks and they respond completely differently. Or does it not matter what equipment you learn on, and if you know one set of decks you know them all, or at least if you can mix on a crap pair you can mix on a decent pair?
Thanks in advance for your help. |

it does matter what equipment you learn on. they are not all the same.
i highly recommend you do NOT go for cheap CD decks.
get at least CDJ 100's
sure you might find cheaper ones but you will regret wasting your money on them when you find out they are pure crap. this happened to me!
if you cant afford them, try finance plan! pay over a year |

as a CDJ Numark Axis 2 (this is like the minimal)
as a mixer i would recommend a Reloop RMX 3 BPM... 3 channels so you can live act+dj at the same time |
