Well ppl,
I wont say that there weren't those high - psy events in the capital of the Negev, but it has NOTHING to do with music creation there nowadays. I must admit that I had my share in psychedelics and definitely opened a window or two ( and couple of doors maybe ;-) ) but the ppl that stand in front of the Beer Sheva trance today, I'm not sure they are into cigarettes, not talking highly psy drugs...
It's very simple - one doesn't have to be off his face to make good music ( trance or any kind of ) The ONLY thing u have to have is your gutz. If it comes out of you, it might come out stronger under influence, but it will come out anyway.

Yuli : I agree with you .
Most of the best music came out of people daring and trying new things .
Drugs are just tools for self exploring, but whatever really comes out (music, poetry, writing,painting) is something that was WITHIN you the day you were born.
drugs aren't essential , because if you're highly connected with yourself all you need is high self awareness and know where to look for those things , and from my experience, you find them , especially in hard times :) cheers! |

nobody say that drugs is only thing that make u trance producer,but drugs take u to this direction of mind. without drugs may be u was poet or drawer... its all..
and i have nothing against drugs... |

Yuli, I won't start another thread, but I please not forget the place of the Krayot in the Israeli musical world. Though I'm with on the drug issue as everyone knows, you gotta admit that the Krayot have chemicals in the air ;-)

There is no place for comparisons here. You can't compare The Beatles to Tipex, not because The Beatles are more successful, but because they don't have the same style. And beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. :-)
Now about the city. Like Yuli said: "As a town not very much to say". Why is that? Beer Sheva is a big city - with a huge potential music-wise and everything-wise. Many artists and "good people" run away from Beer Sheva and go to the center. I don't see the reason for this. Many people can be successful from Beer Sheva too - take Psycraft and Future Prophecy for example. People want to leave Beer Sheva because this place is boring - many of my friends say so anyway. There is simply nothing to do in here. So instead of going to Tel Aviv, people should open clubs and pubs in here. almost 200,000 people in this city. A huge business potential. Once this city will develop the aspect of night life, the amount and quality of music producers will rise as well. That's all I think...
