Jester Records and Productions are proud to present, for the third straight year, on Friday, April 6th, 2007 :
REWIRE 3 : The Bunny Strike’s Back !!!
In collaboration with Akarien Productions !
This year, Rewire takes a new twist, venturing into international waters, offering one of the scene’s most respected progressive house artists and DJs known as BECKERS. Straight out of Germany, Beckers gives House music a new name with his new and innovative style that can be described as Electro House Music. Beckers is no noob to the scene, with over 10 years of studio production experience and many collaborations with some very well known artists. Beckers is also known as “Space Safari” or “Frank Beckers”. The turning point in his career was when he met Christian, a.k.a. D-Nox, whom together formed 2005’s best new talent know as “D-Nox and Beckers”, with there biggest summer hit known as “Switch” which reached out and touched just about every single musical scene, with remixes from Dino Psaras, Ace Ventura, GMS, Wrecked Machines, Oliver Klein and Peter Jurgens. Beckers has also released music on labels such as : Sprout, Iboga, Candyflip, Tribal Vision, Polaroid, Stargate, YSE, Tropical Beats, Nervine Records, Digital Oracle, Avalanche, Baroque and HOMmega just to name a few.
Not only do we offer international talent this year, we also as usual focus on the most standout local talent Montreal has to offer.
From Citizen Records, SAD MAFIOSO will be performing a LIVE act right before Beckers to heat things up. Since his debut release on Citizen Records “Je me souviens”, SM has been touring Europe and rocking dancefloors across Montréal with his tight electro-tek sound.
Local Dj OMNI will also be showcasing his talent at this event, offering his first EVER LIVE ACT just before Sad Mafioso. Omni has been producing music for over 2 years now and has more than enough music to offer us a top notch LIVE act. Working together with VJ Homing, together they will offer both a visual and sonar experience like no other. Thanks to Midi technology our mixer will be hooked up to the visual projector allowing both machines to work together to offer synchronized visual pleasure.
Rewire will also be in close collaboration with the Quebec Scene, as we will be showcasing many of there talented Dj’s :
SevenWays is both Dj and promoter located at the heart of Quebec, riding for his own crew known as “Transition”. He has been responsible for renown parties known as “Blacklight” and “Vision” and is involved with the New Years extravaganza known as “Intense”.
Neurovortex supplies us with Dj spannugsbogen, whom recently has been throwing local psytrance nights for the Quebec psyfreaks that has helped establish there name. He has been around the scene for at least 3 years now and has opened for acts such as “Astral Projection”, “Infected Mushroom” and “GMS” at quebec’s DAGOBAR.
Rewire also offers Jester residents Drenkrom, Toltech and Dorobo and Alien Zed to spice things up a little.
Not to mention the rest of the great local talent:
- TechSafari and Eclipse Festival shares two of there front row Dj’s known as “Rickam” and “Yann” along with Ekoplex, offering yet another LIVE act.
- Phonolites top gun, “Dj Breathe”, the man behind “Soma” and “Psychoactive”, will be sure to knock your socks off with his dark psychedelic power.
- Hardcore idol’s Dj “NA” and “Sickness” will ensure hard, distorted beats.
- HappyHardcore’s most renown Dj’s “TIPSY T” and “Milles Pattes” will make the candykids smile.
- One of the last active members of the Trance NRG crew, “Metzen” will represent his team.
- Tribal Vision’s newest label DJ and Toronto party promoter for Shakti Collective, Dj Shankar will be present to offer his view of good music.
- Aria Resident and the newest addition to Akarien Productions, G’O Brian will deliver his usual Electo set.
- Last but not least, the maker of the “Twisted Rave” series and “We love the Bass”, Dj Ravedave tags long with his Hardstyle.
To sum things up, Rewire offers 1 international headliner, 3 LIVE performances, 2 Quebec local’s for a total of 22 different Djs.
