Bro, yesterday was the first time i bought tracks on the internet, I selected about 25tracks and an album(that is very very old but was as ``realese`` in beatport)

final price was $90, but they dindt said in what currency, i tought it was in brazilian currency, seeing that the site was all in portuguese. Today when i checked my paypal, i discovered it was 90 dollars, and....

WHAT FUCK????? IT ISNT TOO EXPENSIVE FOR 36 .WAV TRACKS? I mean, they dont speend nothing with cd charts and etc, they send the tracks by download, i tought it would be much more cheaper than buying physical albums (which i prefer i like to have the original charts) because 90reais = 50 dollars

but than, 90dollars for 36 tracks?
I mean, when you buy an album at saikosounds, generally each album has 9-12 tracks, and cost 11-14 dollars, so 36 tracks in saikosounds (with the cd original boxes and everything) would be 36 DOLLARS PLUS SHIPPING!!!

what is the problem with these guys at beatport? now i already have downloaded some tracks and i dont think i can cancel my order.           ``We shall not cease from exploration - And the end of all our exploring - Will be to arrive where we started - And know the place for the first time.``

just to compare, a week ago i bought ten cds, including albums and compilations on saikosounds, it costed me 129dollars with shipping, and they also give me a extraalbum for my order, so it was 11albums for 129 dollars
also two albums, parahalu and otherone im missing was 2xcd albums

11albums at saikosounds with the physical cd and chart: us$129,00

and...

36wav tracks at beatport: 90dollars?

Yes it's expensive. And I agree - a rip off. But, it's your responsibility to look before you leap buddy.

Yea, the price is steep, but how did you get to the conclusion that it was the Brazilian currency?           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

The only reason it's really worth it is because you can buy one track off an album for $3 or whatever it is in .wav, instead of having to buy the entire CD for that one track.           www.denvertrance.com

the language of the site was in brazilian portuguese, it was not me that configured to show portuguese i dont know why was in it, but the price was $90.73....

generally when you buy something online is like us$ when in dollars, or e$ when in euros, or r$ when in brazilian currency, but as it was in portuguese and just $, i tought:

``it must be in reals, cause in dollars is too expensive it cannot be``

thats how i get this conclusion           ``We shall not cease from exploration - And the end of all our exploring - Will be to arrive where we started - And know the place for the first time.``

living and learning... 2 major learnings:

1- it`s expensive.
2- confirming the currency before buying could be smart.

that is hard really.36 tracks for 90 dollars.
One reason more not to trust all this fuckers. This is my opinion.
It should be as easy as possible to understand what is exactly the price ,double and tribble or with a personal email service.

And I completely not understand the artists that want to cooperate with this..For what?
For being amongst ohters with color pics on a side
The word music label will disappear soon from our range of language anyways.

All this distributions is making only profit for not much service.Or from weakness of artists who are too fine to make a simple shop in html or whatever.
The artists that complain about their 100 sold copies should really awake and start thinking practicaly .
Each one should have an own "shop" service without pretending to be too busy or have so many others geting busy with promotion or whatever.
Unless you are not Britney Spears it does not make any sense with all this distribution so to say.
It does not make any sense in psytrance anyways.
Unless you can make some money with your releases ,do it as logical as possible.
Make your music downloadable for human prices and you get more.Or regular prices what you would get from beatport etc.
I refuse to pay a cent to anyone else who is not responsible for the music I want, and I would definetly support a few atleast I like ,and some who are egomans (thanks isratrance for revealing alot) never anymore but well that goes too deep .
If I can buy it in a local shop - fine - if through some invisible serious flash sides, with the knowledge Ok i have now even pay them who have noting really to do with the music, thanks ..and sorry.
I expect now some stones flying on my post
But I feel this should be considered the message of this post.Since it is fact,I would buy music more often ,If the artist would sell it.
Or if i would be sure all my money goes to the pockets of the musician and not to anyone else.

Not a very good conclusion, obviously!

Tracks on beatport are consistently $1.49 or $1.99, and then plus an additional $1 if you want .wav. Some labels will let you have a discount if you buy entire albums, but the .wav charge is still per track.

It's about the same as Trackitdown will charge you.

It's why I buy cd's instead, if I want something really rare mostly it's just to listen to so say $1.5-2US for 320KBS mp3 is fine... but $3US for a WAV is ridiculous... for 9 songs thats $27US!!... the cd at Saikosounds is like what? $13-15US max!           I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!

Yeah but if you only want one track off the CD, I'd rather pay $3 for it than $20 with shipping for the whole CD of filler tracks. I prefer this to the days of buying a bunch of albums and only ever listening to or playing one, maybe two tracks.

defintly too expensive
i guess its worth only if you really 'must' have some single tracks..
when 12-14$ is normal price for cd and even less then 10$ buying direct from artists or labels (hand to hand) its way off the ground to ask 3$ for single track for download , wich you could easy pirate for free probably too..           www.sattelbattle.com

Even if it's just as expensive, it's still better for the environment, no need to waste petroleum manufacturing and shipping the CD...

Now that is a good point too! Why enlarging our carbon footprint even with getting ourselves some Psy Trance?
