well beatmatching most of the time is ok...but there are some tracks...even when the beats r goin exactly at the same pace...they still sound very very messed up...
tried everything...and sometimes during a mix..u know the next track is PERFECT for the set..but the beats fuk it up...

anyone got any sly tactics to over come this..?

thanx in advance..

What do you mean "messed up? "

If you mean sounding dirty or clashing or whatever, you probably need to do a bass cut on one of the songs.... if everything is going at "the same pace" and the beat suddenly fucks up, well, that sounds like your CD is skipping dude...

well, this might not work, but you can try killing all the mids from your incomming track, then, when the first track comes close to ending, throw in those mid's from the track you are trying to bring in.. that might help "cover" all that "messyness"           "VA - REWIRED" OUT NOW !! sometimes this messyness came from the High's side of things...

maybe you choose 2 trax that have very diferent hithat's and percussion, this causes a strange fight between them even if you did the beatsync properly...try to cut the highs is my humble advice in those cases

good luck

its possible one of the tracks youre trying to mix is the 3/4 beat? the kicks are the same but your bass will not mix right.
maybe thats why.

yes its easier to mix tracks the same number of notes in the baseline, 1 2 or 3 notes. also easy to mix tracks with 1 note baseline with tracks with 3 notes baseline, a bit messier is to mix tracks with 2 baseline notes with tracks with 3 baseline notes.

have you tried cutting crossfader fast?

i know exactly what you mean, cutting EQ's mids, highs or lows will not usually help, although you can mask the messy parts, but in my personal opinion, the best thing to do is: beatmacht the tracks, wait for proper moment and move crossfader fast from master track to qued track.           www.venomous2.com

I was serious, but i didn't explained well.

If it is impossible to mix the tracks without messing them up, u need to mix into-outro or break-break. I think u know what i mean, mix them when no beat is playing.

yea man..that is a decent option too...gotta wait for the lows in the other track to fade into it...           Why Worry?? BE.........HIPPIE
