Not really, Liran. When I really like music, it stays with me longer.

It seems to me you look at this music as a one big form that keep changing every minute- that's a way to look at it. Personally, I like to go deeper and treat the tracks as musical creations- compositions. I f there's a story inside it can last. What more that as you say there are so many different styles of telling stories nowadays.
And about the parties- well, I bet you I can play a long set with only released tracks more than 6 months old and still rock the floor, while most people won't recognize half of the tracks- and I'm no DJ. There are 10 years of music out there Liran, and so much good dancefloor stuff being made the last few years that most people never heard.
I played Screec's Tribal Emphasis in a party few months ago, it was more than a year old by then, and 4 different people came to ask what is this killer track. The floor rocked.

I still get the feeling you are taking too much notice of stuff like time, styles & names, and this way you can lose the music itself.

deer me shahar...i don't care bout other ppl i just care if i enjoy or not....and even if the ppl don't know the trx ur playin' !!i'm preety sure that if it's a style i like than i know it! and that if it's new and still kicks it it's oki but if old and was used for parties from times way way flshed baCK...
so...we don't need ppl dj's riding on succeses of the past!! common u can't play the past forever and as for yr story!!
i think that the best story trance ever told was...:
HALLUCINOGEN-the lone deranger albom...its value was compared 2 a trance bible!!! and even this master piece has long been thrown away...can't listen 2 it!! and it makes me very baaasaa that until i go out from my house 2 listen 2 sum good music i get a kid dj that just discoverd yr old music that kicks ass....wt2do!!
and yet i ask myself.....
farewell...

That's two different worlds for you -

Shahar and Liran u r two parralel lines, never gonna meet on this.

I am with Shahar here. In fact I think that views like yours, Liran, do much problem to the scene because of the NEED to get new stuff all the time and if it's two month old it's of no use.. That makes artists make tracks like factory and the ART is dying in these cases.

For me good music never dies. Ofcourse there are tracks that outdated and their sound aint playable together with todays tight no nonsence mix but still there are a lot of tracks very good for dancefloor and they are 5 years old.

Stop the DAT mafia - it's bringing the music down.

Very funky stuff but lacks a bit on the poenta issue - all the parts are there, its kicking and grooving, but what does it wanna say?

excellent music nevertheless.

Liran, you said everything changes on a monthly basis. Well it can't! Usually the time it takes to complete a single tracks is 3-5 weeks... That is one month. So an artist has to change his style with every track he makes? He always has to see what is going to be the next big thing? No! An artist must do what he thinks is right and not what is "new" like you say, even if it's a bit old in style.
You say you throw to garbage anything that is old, so let's say you hear the most amazing album today. You throw it away after a few months? Of course not!

Stop this "we want new stuff" shit...

Dark , Funky , Groovy , Wicked , Stomping , Typical Iboga style , you name it !
Top notch production , very clean.
Iboga is one of my favorite labels , brilliant productions & very good artists music.
This is the debut album from Beat Bizarre , I was really looking forword for thier album after listening to thier tracks on Iboga's compilations , really like thier style , I didn't hear the album completely , but I will soon as I get my hands on it.
Favorites are - Pony Sauce (Rotev Pony ??) , Monochrome (Which get pretty boring towords the end...) , and Brain Drain RMX (Amazing ! I can't describe it in words ! can't wait to hear it in a party , the original was good as well...)
And about all the music argument , I agree with Sahar and everyone else and disagree with Liran , good music stands in the test of time , it breaks all boundries of time & place , what is new is not always what is good , what really matters is the music , and not when it was released , and on what label and from what artist , for all I care music can stay unlabel , names & labels just don't it to me anymore , I used to think that what is new & fresh is the better stuff , but now I know that the music itself is what really importent , and not all the things in the background...

Still one of my all-time favorite Trance albums, the bumping of this thread made me listen to it at work rightnow, and it is and always will be excellent!! Great work by Beat Bizarre!

BTW, this discussion about new music above is hilarious, thankfully the times of only playing the newest killaaaaarghs has passed, im noticing a lot more older tracks in DJ sets lately.

And this album is proof that good music never dies, the production might not completely up to todays standards (it is surprisingly tight though), but the music is as trippy and mindblowing as ever           Check out my album: http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/gay-satanic-hippie-tiefenrausch

myself being an amateur, really amateur dj, i have always older tracks, present in my dj sets tracks from 2004 and 2005 - so i fully agree with your way of thinking!and not necessairly being a rule, dj´s should look for quality, instead of newer killer unr traxx
good music is timeless

bring back the dj´s           ...
