Hello, I am sure that I will go to this party!
I am looking forward it , because this party is held by Star gate (Not Utage). It must be a wonderful one. I haven't joined Star gate party for a long time .
I went to Star gate at Yoyogi park 2or 3years ago....

ahh the party,
let's see if i can give you a quick overview of my first impressions of the party.....
well, its was dark and stormy the night we left tokyo, headed for izu. i prepared for the worst, knowing that a rainy party sucks if you don't have the right gear to compensate. but after geting there early saturday morning and setting up camp, the sun came out and we didn't see rain for the rest of the party. so point one: "the weather was beautiful"
location. man a great place for a party. i'm used to the old regular places for outdoor parties (nagano, gifu, odaiba, etc). it was great to be in a place with new things to discover. the hill was a pain to climb all day, but well worth it for the gorgeous view. so point two: "great place for a party, lots of fresh water, nice view, new place for me"
some other things about the party that i liked: no gayru, great vibe, lots of space to dance, tons of gorgeous women (i like to see pretty trance girls in one place;), and wonderful deco. i did deco professionally for 3 or so years in japan, for some big parties. this deco was comparable to some of the best i've seen. especially for the size of the party.
the only thing i didn't care for was the most important part of the party. the music. call me crazy, but although most of the dj sets were flawless (well, good, not flawless), and the live set was very smooth; "i'm not a big fan of that progressive style". its tooooo slow. to call it progressive is an oxymoron. i'm sure i will get bashed for that, but its my personal taste. i'm much more into ticon, human blue, jahbo, spacecat, etc. i like antix of course, but their set made me go to the ambient stage. no climaxes, no interesting percussion builds, very minimal bass movement throughout the set.
other than that, i loved the party. 7/10 mushrooms!

Why do i always miss these parties.... I think i have the worst of luck...
I am resting at home with a Hernia... Which is just killing me... My last hope of good music. Well i really wanted to go to this party, I had access and everything this time all set to go and a day before, I get this stupid damn Hernia...
Well anyways, congratulations on a good party Sal. Without Stargate i dont know what would happen to the underground scene of japan. Stargate always provides high quality parties. None of that mainstream crowd comes to ruin the atmosphere of the party.
Well organic paradox, unfortunatly if you were looking for more of the full on type of music, Stargate is not the party to be at. They are strictly Proggresive trance, Proggresive house and Minimal. Ticon however i am sure they played many tracks, also many tracks from human blue. But yes the BPM at this party i think will never go over 140. But I just love their music!!!

Sorry about your hernia, Hikari - hope you're healing! Yes you missed a very good party, and I was hoping to see you on the dancefloor, too. I guess I'm really settling into the progressive sound as I find it hits the right buttons. It also suits my reclining camp chair! Ha! I guess I'm becoming a trance Grampa. I agree with O. Paradox that a few more climaxes to break up the beat would have been nice. Beat bizarre had some very special psychedelic vibrations that seemed to penetrate deep into my core. Sweet. Sal's set that followed kept that theme going nicely into morning. Overall, I found the party to be *MAGIC* and I give it 9/10.
