How is he recording, sequencing and getting synched those loops live?

Can i do that in ableton? Anyone care to point me in the right direction?

He uses 3 Kaos Pads, from the festival vid it looks like he's using Ableton now too (or at least a laptop for something).

From the original video posted, it almost looks like he mimics Tim Exiles live improv setup, which judging from some Exile videos ive seen, reminds me a lot of what he does as well.

it looks more like a text document is open there, then a music sequencer. maybe some hints/lyrics/scenario
