PEOPLE!
These are old news.
Starsound 'record label' has fcked up the majority of their artists. I have released 2 tracks there (triplex-q6 / triplex-underflow) ages ago and I have received no money. But I was happy cause I was getting lots of promises  Oh and also, since last year I am receiving no replies to my emails and phonecalls. How cool is that ?
This is the case with 5-6 other artists, friends of me, who have collaborated with that 'record label'.
Be careful, bigger artists who have released on starsound (yumade, paste, pots) might not agree with my sayings because they might have been payed (this is a common strategy of crappy labels -> pay the big artists and dont be bothered for the small ones).
ps. PLUR my a$$... when it comes to bussiness these words should not be said.

That is true, but it doesnt really come close to an artist that works his ass off for a few months and don't get paid - don't forget that the label usually has an interest in the merchandises that the artist makes, the label wants to make the profit on behalf of the artist ( and that is ok ), so even if now and then there are small glitches from the artist side.. There is much more ( I would say 9 to 1 ) bad smell from the label side of this business, and u know it

And I meant that this site belongs to 'simple people' and not to those who manage the things in the trance world. Cuz most of those who do manage things in the trance world don't do it that good or should I say don't give a shit about it - check it out I said most.
It is very rare that I become pathetic, surely not here ( that doesnt measn I don't become pathetic b4 certain ppl  hehe but you can be relaxed Naomi, u don't make me feel this way in any of your posts up till now )

A LOT of people told me about jonhy sin (geek people) cause he powns a lot of money to a few greeks artists...not just greeks cause fred (SURIA)wasn´t paid as well for his track on their 1º compilation....

ok i'll repost as well: Dani sorry to hear about this, i hope this gets resolved in the best way, my suggestion is try to talk to Detox, since he is both a part of this forum and apart of Starsound Rec. maybe he can help you out with your problem. All you want is to get what you deserve, and from what you sent me, its well earned hard money. keep up the great work man, and positive attitude and this will resolve.

we all know that this "scene" is not perfect, on the contrary... its gettin uglier every day.
and we all know that labels are fucking up artists all the time, its not a secret.
but this is not the place to solve this kind of arguments.
legal actions need to be taken.
yulik: i know u can feel sympathy with this story... and i totaly understand your reply
sure its not ok that things like that happens and fur sure the artists that beeing fucked up shouldnt stay still.
but this thread, as i see it is pure gossip.

about the advance payments... well, sure its not like 7-8 years ago, it shouldnt be like 7-8 years ago.

I can understand what you feel , but don't give a f*ck , calm down and don't let such label to harm your passion to make music.
I know few artists who leave the secne because they were so angry because of lost promises...
I'm sure one or two track ,500-200$ won't make you rich , though I hate those who became rich from lies...
be cool , they don't worth your rage !
try to stick on your music lab and make better music to get contract with better labels.
this is what I do
I got lots of invitation , I just won't release my music in lame label which don't have good foundation.
I won't take the risk.

My opinion... in this scene legal action isn't always a viable method of recourse... aside from the issue of the tangled web of international law, the most likely outcome for artists and labels is simply a bunch of rich lawyers
There should be some kind of negative repercussion for people who do such bad things in our world... you would think that given the situation with low sales and the difficulty of putting out new releases that a label would want to cling to every advantage offered by a clean reputation and signs of integrity, no? But if we collectively ignore when wrongs are made against the artist then this offers a new route towards profitability for the labels owned by those with a broken moral compass...
However I would agree with Shahar on the issue that this isn't a court, and judgements need not be made in a formalized manner. Everyone will surely make their individual and personal judgement anyhow.
I'll leave with a cliche of a quote: there are three sides to any story - yours, theirs, and the truth.
