It's interesting how you always try to insert your "anti psytrance" views everywhere on Isra. And your view essential being that the normal "raves" are better than psy parties, that psymusic is not more intricate & intelligent than other forms of EDM, basically you come off as a person who really doesnt like psytrance or doesnt care much about the psy community / culture (and im not deducing this from this one post but rather many posts of yours ive seen in many forums here on isra). So I just wanna ask you, why do you come to this forum? Because almost every comment I see of yours is something negative about psytrance or the psyculture. I mean why don't you hang out in some other EDM forums or something?? Sorry for the off topic people.

My personal opinion is rave scene is crap. Psytrance scene is at a whole new level.
After personal experience i can claim even our substances are way more sophisticated and not downright addictive.
Nice documentary. Simon looked so young. Sweet to see that ganesha idol @ the club + the room where you just listen to music with chai ....
We dont even have the chai concept in clubs in India.

"our substances" men i didnt know trancers have a monopoly over consumption of some drugs.
I mean, have you ever heard the term "acid house"?
all edm genres should live in peace together, as pavel once said "genre nazissm is not supported on this forum".

Haha nazism strong word innit ?
OK well acid house is an exception.
Well not a monopoly but ive seen what is sold/majorly consumed in house clubs as compared to psy outdoor fests.
Not a mandatory thing just the general consensus which is why i specified 'personal experience' your welcome to correct me im wrong.

As said before for me al EDM genres are a big family united ofr the love to party.
Each scene has its own identity and iconography.
And all of them have acoommon background, they evolved in different directions, but they re still a family
psy trance is the hippie cousin
techno is that hard to die grandfather
minimal is the snob of the family
hardcore is that nihilistic teenager
House is the mother who is very relaxed and caring.
drum and bass is other cousin who like to play football
electro house is the popular girl
ambient is that uncle who always give good advice
experimental is the geek of the family
and so on

Hehe Nicely put Login.
Let me give you a a personal example. This might not be the case for everybody but it is for a bunch of people in my city.
We grew up listening to classical/eastern devotional/rock/psy rock/metal.
We dint like electronic music although we had heard enough house/techno/drum n bass in those days we hated it. It just sounded like monotonous beats without an actual definition of a song/story.
We had never heard of psytrance then it was so underground. But when we finally did hear some psytrance classics we were instantly hooked it had so much substance and story way more than just beats. This changed our perspective about electronic music. There did exist more complex electronic music that was made to sound like a song with a story.
My personal opinion 145 bpm and above sounds more like a song than 128 to 135 bpm which sounds more like beats.
Disclaimer: This is my personal opinion not to start any genre 'Nazissm' lol.
I also agree that credit should be given to EDM since its from there that everything else evolved.

EDM goes for Electronic dance music
you might be referring to EBM, electronic body music, also Known as Industrial VNV nation, front 242 skinny pupy are the more repsentative bands of this genre.
I completely understand your point psy-junky, psytrance has an special ethos that makes it different to other genre, but there is also good music in the other genres that is also story telling.
And psy trance IMO is not for all time and place, for me it require open air parties, and also past 12 pm I want to hear something morelaing as would never like to hear minimal at sunrise in a 24 hour party.
take the best of each genre
