Hi
I have a problem with battery crashing cubase on startup...
a message comes up with something like 'akai import failed to load' or something and then cubase freezes...
i installed battery when i was using logic and it ran fine... then when i copied the .dll file to the cubase VST folder this happens!!
but when i remove it cubase works fine
btw i think it is battery v.1.3...
help please!! |

well
you need to install the vst , only in a few vst's you can copy the dll file to the vst folder .
a good one for cubase is the halion 3 or 2
thats what we use , and its great

hmm i love battery! dont have problems with it.
you should try reinstall. i put all my VST onto the same folder for all Sequencers. Then I dont have to install them more than once.
maybe you should post on Cubase/NI forums, they are the experts at this! |

As Contra says, you should try to install it properly (not just copying the DLL) and it might work out. Besides this, try to get your hands on Battery 2.01 (or 2.1, can't remember what the number was ) because Battery 1 runs with a lot of bugs (clicks and more) and in the first version of Battery2 you cannot change the number of stereo/mono-outputs from the Battery, thus making this eat a lot of your CPU having all channels open (depending on how powerful computer you have of course). I run the Battery 2.01 since ehm, well it is probably 7-8 months now I believe and I am very happy and pleased with it...

- battery 2 sometimes forgets saved equalizer settings for a few samples

dtd: I usually work with about 75% of the slots in use and I haven't encountered any EQ-problems like the ones you are describing. As previously mentioned I run Battery 2.1 (yes now I checked which version I was running ).
