if you look under the volume fader at the bottom right side of the battery window there is a channel number- just click this button and leave the mouse button pressed while moving up/down to change the channel number,
also FYI, there's also 'settings' button where you can choose the number of stereo and mono channels u want to use- i think the default battery settings is 4st and 4mono- which you can change it in the settings menu to 8st and 16mono (if i remember correctly)- just near the 'replace sample' button
