why the heck can't i get it right ??
in comparison to flagship trance producers, it always sounds weak, dry, etc.
i've tried frequency analysis & every EQ, compressor, etc you could think of.
my music needs TESTERONE !!!
could it be that i'm using sound blaster live ?
fortunately i've got monitors. (alesis mk2)
i know i have good kicks cause i ripped em' from killer tracks.
for my latest track i'm using VB1...
it's unfortunate that you have to hack the living jehebas out of it to get rid of the click.
well anyways,
please gimme a hand..
it's really hindering my creativity..

compress your bass!
eq out the freq`s under 45hz.
use waves maxx-bass to add sub freq`s.           check out! www.soundclick.com/spasm

try and tell me is it working or no

You don't need Tau Patches... Make them yourself.
One method which I like is to make one osc saw, second sine and transpose it one octave up.
Give the sine osc a little less volume in the mix, and put low cutoff, low Q on all. Then play with the decey and envelope to your liking

A Tip in Tau / Tau pro : when you are starting to play with this bassline VstI, its important to lower all the knobs in the upper part (not those on the osc. etc...)
then you rais the warm sound adjasting all the knobs.

What is the right order to process the bassline ? Improve subfrequencies and then run the compressor or the compressor first and then use the waves ultrabass?           --------------------------------------------

i'm not sure you people understand what the maxxbass does.

it does not increase the subbass power. in fact, as the manual clearly states, it is quite likely to REMOVE subbass.

what it does is add higher-frequency harmonics, using psychoacoustics to fool the ear into percieving more bass. greatly simplified - if you hear a harmonic series of 110, 220, 440, 880, your ear will tend to 'fill in' the 55hz fundamental. so this is useful (designed for) making mixes appear to have more bass when played on systems which cant actually create sounds in the 55hz region - like bad kitchen radios, small tape machines, walkman headphones, etc.

Considering full-on is designed to be played over a fat club/party PA i really dont see maxxbass being very useful or desirable here.

if you want a fat bass just make a fat bass! just put in lines with decent natural energy down there....its that simple. without highly expensive monitors its hard to hear down there so you do need to be careful, but still...

and while i'm posting in the thread... send me your patches?? who's producing your tunes - you or us?           http://www.dartrecordings.co.uk/

I suggest, since you are rubbish at synthesizing basses, like me, to get trilogy. I use it a lot. If you want to synthesize your own, get bass station. I preser it to muon and vb
