hello friends, usually what kind of effect you put to your basslines,

example sidechain, but wich others?????           Searching for new Sounds

No boundaries, but some tipps.

- any kind of (multiband) distortion including warmifier etc.
- compression (especially colouring ones, since most dynamic shaping can be done with ampenvelope of the synth)
- EQ (of course)
- delay, flanger, phaser, reverb (what ever) as a send effect. the effect return of course in most cases processed with a highpass so that the efx have no low freq which can make it muddy.

soft/hard clipping can work too .
