Hey guys,
ive come across this problem often and would like some expert opinion on wht causes it, and how to fix it!!
Ive made this kick+bass loop. But when i play the loop, i can hear the bass play like two notes..This could have to do with my room not being tuned..But wht i mean is, if I move myself a little towards the left speaker i can hear the bass play a C maj note... but if im sittin in the middle, or if i move a little to the right it plays on another note altogether... or more likely 2 notes being played (Cmaj+?), causing confusion .. i thought it probably could have to do with the kick, but i soloed the bass and its the same... and further, jus playing around, if i panned the bass to the extreme left/right, it plays like a Cmaj...
Anyways ive uploaded 2 samples and would like ull to listen to it and tell me how to get rid of these unwanted frequencies so i can have the bassline play a clean C major, and ofc wht's causing it so i can sort it out in the future... thx
PS. Loop is 160bpm

Use an spectrum analyzer to check whats being played and fix your room with some acoustic treatment and correct placement of speakers and yourself within the room
