FLASH NEWS: Bassline.gr is on the airwaves !
Bassline.gr is currently relaying its streams through TWMN ( Thessaloniki Metropolitan Wireless Network ). After research, our team decided to invest on the WI-FI technology.
The WI-FI platform provides us with enough bandwidth for testing our encoding algorithms, in order to increase your expirience with the best audio quality streams and new advanced enchancements.
Listeners on the wireless network (TWMN) can now enjoy the Bassline.gr streams for free at near CD quality. TWMN - Thessalonikis Metropolitan Wireless Network is a non-profit organization which consists of an expanding amount of users which are all connected through Wireless equipment and enjoy the benefits of an inter-connected network ( something like the Internet ). The network operates at the (free by law) band of 2.4 GHZ. Cost of equipment that you need in order to join the network is approximately ( 100-150euros ).
