i have heard in many tracks before, for example logic bomb tracks like the third revelation, and i noticed that the baseline was
a little bit off compared to the kick.
i mean it sounds like the bass was shifted by a little bit, instead of being on right on each 16th note. How is this done???

Just move the notes a little bit ... what's the question really ?           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

there is more problem with it cause the bass can bump with the kick and destroy the sound....i think he asked more about that???the sound issue?

try not to mix the kick and bass on one note if they are two bassy sound.
I mean that the bass and the kick must fill each other.
so you can make bassy kick(boost 40-80) then you will have to cut a bass on these freq's
and the same way different.

try not doing things like putting on the same place kick and bass - you will work so hard on the sound issue - and it will not bring anything almost the hard work.

you can add timeshift on each channel in cubase and certainly every other sequencer.

In cubase it is just above the "in" setting for the midiinput. a little symbol of a watch and a slider to add time shift in mseconds...

With this function you can do many funny things..
For example on a 2,4 snare drum you can create a more driving or "laid back" feeling...

If this is what you asking for...           Most of my music for you to download at:

if you go to grid set up , youl see that you hace

1/8s 16s etc...wich are in groups of reg,

tripplets, and doted (different length of counting in a bar),

if you put your kick on a regular 4/4 rithem and

then write the bass ass doted for example,

they will sound abit off beat...
