for fair comparaison they should have same loudness.
here zebra and sylenth never been used for bassline, but it s possible to make some good one with these but i don t like the caractere for bass, i would have to process the shit out of these synths to get sound i like

cronox sounds better.
I don't get along with it.. maybe I should explore it more.

@PoM you can not tweak the same volume, because of the different spectrum
(one got more highs, another one more subs, keytrk, different velocityeffect...)
ive choosen volume by thinking "this sounds fair". i think each synth got nice
aspects, and there are other bassstyles then just the classical rolling one.
what do you mean by "here zebra and sylenth never been used for bassline".
to cover up things, it was my first 10min with cronox... funny you like this one

@daark how you came to this conclusion? i see pure saw on the wave file,
if youre talking about the soundcloud file, its obvious.

@Zork youre not able to do so? i think youre just lazy gg

orgy i meant i never enjoyed them, need too much processing to get sound i like while some synth get me there with just a eq and a bit of saturation. cronox is not bad, from what i remember it sound less plastic than zebra and sylenth, it s closer to the sound i like but from what i remember it s a bit thin sounding when not processed.
can you add massive in your comparaison? just curious how it compare wihtout any processing like this.

of course i tweaked the basses. im sure other people will get other conclusions!
thats also why i didnt use any eq, to keep it pure next time ill record 3 different farts, and do some processings for the perfect bass lol

edit... i tried massive for 5 mins, but im not into it, and didnt get any result.
when i find more time i could add it.          www.soundcloud.com/orgytime

zebra always sounds plastic and thin. cuts nicely throug a busy mix if you want that though.. but in general them filters on Z. suck imo

Zebra filters? Bad?

Surely you jest. The filter modeling in zebra is fucking amazing.            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe
