yeah i think for the price it look like winner to me.. just no fm between the osc it seems ,that reduce the potential of the synth .
come on analog fm why it s not by default on all synth..a few good fm leads...we would have probably been sold instanely |

theres also the legendary Prophet 5 Filter Fm thingy which is really lush, set the filter to self osc( sine wave) then use that, go back to osc 1 or 2 whatever, turn them both down , Donewiggle to taste
yeah i think for the price it look like winner to me.. just no fm between the osc it seems ,that reduce the potential of the synth .

the lfos go into audio range, same thing really just a bit more difficult to track
in fact im sure the guy said the lfos have same range as the osc, which would ake me think its coming off the same circuit and being bounced down a few octaves |

that better than nothing... sure , how fast go the lfo?a switch to turn it as osc would have been welcome.
if it as the same range that would be awesome but if it s a knob that cover from lfo range to osc it will be really hard to tune ..but better than nothing..and with the syncro it will offer some good stuff
to me it s seems the only drawback on this synth from the spec (and no cv ios but at that price it would be asking a lot) |

also the Filter Fm mode is based on prophet 5 thingy ( not saying the design but the concept)
if you set the filter to self osc ( pure sine tone), turn down both the oscillators and turn the filt fm up you will get pure fm so you can do it osc to filter, but not osc to osc,
but using sine tones for fm gives the best fm sound
so it does do Fm but not directly,,,
does it have ring mod |

it have ring mod yes i think..
using filters is not really a recplacemt for the vcos fm (just what range the filter will track correctly and it need a external filter to use for filtering ),it s sad cause i bet that synth would have been awesome at fm leads lol |

tbh its got the lot for that price
its bizarre that its an anolog clone of a V.A.
so audio rate lfos,
ringmod
osc sync
filter fm
state variable filters with Descent resonance
dual gain stageing
2 osc and a sub ( with different waveshapes)
AND its analoge........
perfect for the psy trance enthusiast!

if theres ring mod and sync, fm might be possible depending on how they acheive the cross communicaton between the two oscillators
could be just a matter of recoding or it could be some electronic wizardry and not possible without hardware upgrade |

vst developers must be shitting their pants with the level of competition their getting, i mean price cant really come down anymore , leaving quality to be the field of competiton
i reckon theve been working on it fo r a few years
and pushed it a bit in the last years or so, |

i m not sure, cause for many it won t sound better than their plugs in a mix and then there is workflow of plugs that is maybe more suited for some modern popular genre.
hardware is a luxury |

but people really dont sell plugins on ,
whereas things like this will be picked up for a couple hundred in a few years, and once you get your hands on a bit of analog your never really satisfied with plugs,
there great and do the job perfectly but when it comes to using a mouse or getting your hand on the real thing , i think its more creative and more open to finding the right inspiration for the time
so workflow is all related to interaction and personally i can note the decline in my level of interest in writing with plugins
but as you say some music styles take a lot more perfecting in the mix stage and only using rendered audio can be counter intuitive |

agree mate, i edited my earlier post..
but controller can do just fine.. imo the futur is in plugins.. hardware at one point won t sound as good as plugins , once cpus permit it. i think it s just the cpus the limit..as guys know excalty how to emulate analog stuff but have to compromise so it can run on today computer |
