the tutorial is how to make that bass sound mate. It's also part of a series, a BIG series. Seamless is a great dude too.           https://soundcloud.com/craic-addict

If you look at the Sytrus vst screen that is what he uses for the original bass. Join his FBook page and he will answer any questions (I'm not sure he ever sleeps.

"Of course, at the time of making this video the process was still relatively new to me. In How To Bass 7 and 9 (in my channel) I start with relatively simple sounds and get better results than in this video."

that's the reese bass.

you need a very busy (or even noisy) source to begin with. on the virus the hypersaw or the wavetables or fm using the 64 spectral waves will do. then set up two filters in series, one of them a low pass modulated by the filter envelope, the other a band stop filter. set the filter balance all the way to the right, of course, make sure to take away the cuttoff link between the two filters as well. inverting the envelope for the first filter is also cool for some "garage" kind of sounds as well.

anyways, the second filter brings the "nasal" quality to the sound. modulate it with either an envelope or the lfo's
