ok.. so i was told to get the best bass, it is important to sample all the notes, and tune them to the same frequency..(with izotope)...I just did a remix, and apperently his bass is done like this, and it makes a HUGE difference!! but he doesn't seem to want to tell me much more..but apperently this is THE SECRET for big production bass. So if anyone knows of this please let me know the details.

He didn't want to tell you much more about his little bass-secret ? Pfff...

I guess he meant that if you sample the notes, that your have more control over the exact timing of the notes. And he probably tuned his kick to his bassline using Izotope. You can find all his secret tricks in the "mother of all basslines" thread.

I use a vst (vb1), then smooth it out with waves c4 compressor and louden it with a waves Maximizer...

I'm sitting here with Eskimo and he uses a Muan Tao, no compressor or eq...

your sitting with eskimo and your in canada ??
haha where in canada ?
im in ottawa.
you must be in the west.
i find when i listen to a really pro track..that the higher notes still resonate the same way as the low ones.
i've been using vb1 for the most part. the bass line i used for the remix i think was made with tao pro..but when i make my own with tao pro, i find the hi notes not nearly as loud and the sequence doesnt seem to groove right.
