Hello all.
I have one BIG problem. Whos the best "equalization" 4 bass lines in TB404(Fruit Loops)?
I make one good equalizer but the sound isnt good like the most Psytrance songs. The Bass Line in TB404 sounds like no good bass in "high notes" and the low notes are so "deeep".
Im work in this Bass Lines 4 a months and i dont know if its possible make a good bass line with this pluggin. Muao Tao Pro bring 2 me the same problem.
Pls can someone help me with this question?

Kavarez for a good bassline you can use almost every synth with one or two oscillators. Best is when the synth has some envelopes (Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release) [unlike vb-1]

first try with one oscillator, a saw or something, maybe add another osc (sine?) and set the proper octave.

Eq is another story. Try to get the lower frequencies away with a highpassfilter (around 90 hz), sometimes a little negative eq at 250 hz isn't bad. Actually these frequencies change from track to track, so:

USE YOUR EARS

Try to find out how to use sidechain compressors

Start the creation of your bassline with a short kick and change the releasetime of the kick until both bassline and kick produce a nice sound. Happy tweaking!

Use the search. There are several bassline threads.

My favourite bassline vsti: albino

I don't know about you but isn't that a little too high for highpassing your bassline? I think it would get rid of all the subs and make it very thin sounding..But maybe that's the sound your going for in the 1st place!           http://www.soundcloud.com/getafixmusic

hmm I don't know after using bass enhancers it sounds good to me. Actually it's stupid anyway to give out any numbers because as I stated in my post: use your ears.

Another quite good tip I can give is to use an eq before and after a compressor and investigate what happens. I love to feed the compressor with eq adjustments and shape the bassline further after compression.

hi pass between 40-70 never more (not a rule, just a humble opinion). use short notes (this depends on the synth but it's usualy better. try 1/32). sidechain can help too. also boosting up the harmonic can help (you can use EYB Bass plugin for free or for the best get Waves MaxxBass or Rbass... PSP MixBass is excellent too).

S-Cube - i really like the track! sounds very good to me..

and the bass is nice, is it tb 404?
good indeed... i like the bubbly sound of it! though i havent heard it in my studio monitors..

good job...

oh and i also think highpassing at 90hz is too much but like sideFxed said, he hade used bass expanders and stuff like that, it can grain other results.. and we dont know how the kick is, compared to the bass.

I agree max to 70. I usaualy hi pass it around 50-60. You can hi pass around 90 but then you maybe use combination of two synths for bass. Try iZotope Ozone.           Never let computers to win a game! :)

@ new era scientist & e-motion:

thanks guys for listening..this is actually an old track that i did with fruity loops now i'm working with cubase and i'm much happier with the quality..

the problem with fruity is when you do the final mixdown if there's too much happening you lose quality..so today i was trying to export everything done in fruity seperately as wav's (bass, percussion, leads, etc) and import them on separate audio channels in cubase..

i noticed working with wav's and applying more eq/compression effects offline makes the quality much better..does anyone else work like this? make stuff on fruity and import the wav's in cubase and do the final mixdown there?

S-Cube - there are many people that do like that, export from Fl and sequence and add FX in cubase or logic or any other classic sequencer... i have heard that derango works this way...

i have done it sometimes but for me it feelt more time consuming, i compose and arrange and do everything in cubase now.... but doing it like that, exporting from Fl and import to cubase f,ex is a good way....

i will probably install Fl studio soon to get use of the FL Granulizer...

or dose someone know of a good granulizer if vst format??
