Hi i wonder what happens if you import your
softsynth bass as wav and play around with the pitch ?
I´ve read somewhere that the bass gets out of tune and doesn´t sound as good as a real synth.
Anybody who knows more about this topic ?

depends on the situation, a sampler-pitch often looses a bit of the formants compared to the synth-pitching.

but a lot synthies have non-retriggering oscs and other lfo, envelope-changes, etc. that make each played note sounding different to each other, in this case sampling the "prototype" of a perfect hit from the synth and re-editing it with a sampler makes sense.

Way to avoid pitching errors is just to sample all 12 notes and maybe velocities ...

exactly as topdown said... altough i don't agree the velocity thingie because the sampler can do that. also you don't have to sample all the notes... you just have to bounce the scale you're using

Don't get lazy - bounce'em all, you might use them after.

But sampling all 12 notes is not a solution for non-retriggering synths.

My advice would be: sample all 12 notes, more than 1 time each one. Then choose the best samples.

Btw, I made a bassline with only one sample, with melody. Indeed the sampler makes it not so power as synth, but the "straight" feelling is better this way.           LOADING...

the pitching is not much of a problem over a few notes, so you might just sample C, F and B and pitch the C up to D, the F down to E and up to G, the B down to A and up to C, and all the flats of course. saves on time and memory

Sampling notes its very nice to keep the power of the bass. I used to export just one note, but when i put notes in high places i feel the power to decrease, of corse! I think that the best way to resolv all this problems is to do like sms told us, to sample all 12 note more 1 time each one, and chouse the best ones.
