Hey...i have used the search but didnt actually find a thread about basic cubase sx tutorial...if someone could help by giving a link to a basic online cubase sx tutorial so i would know where to start...heck i dont even understand how to open the damn piano roll in sx3 lol not even talking about adding synth,kicks etc.Kinda weird after fl ya know.

go to 'File'
'new project'
select 'empty'
select a folder... better create a new one, just to get organised
go to 'help'
select 'HTML Help'

Well funny guy, i have googled for it already
and found nothin helpful.
Only a shitloads of guides about its interface
and bla bla.
Just tell me for the mother of god where the hell do i open the damn piano roll to write down my notes lol.thank you.

go to project --> add new track --> midi -->
make locators..double click the empty space between locators...
write away
hope it helped
similarly add audio tracks and import audio files..

Lo, if you're new to Cubase SX and you don't want to read the fm you can always watch "Cubase TV". There's a series of tutorial DVD's available that explain most features and even give some neat tricks:

some english magazine just released a special "cubase edition number".

think it was computer music.

it reads great with loads of tips regarding cubase sx

i think it's very usefull for beggining cubase users (like myself)

Get the Sx tutorial leader (Uman voice - English) .
Get the new book "Sound Technology"
(All about the cubase) By kobi barvivay .
But the beter and the good way is a professional school .

there is some good books in PDF as POWER CUBASE SX, and some video tutorials in DVD, if you 're interessted to know more, PM ME

PCAudiolabs Cubase SX Video tutorial for me is excellent. it was what made me start with cubase.
