basic fl studio 9 query

hi , sorry if this has been asked before , i searched and could not find though . i just installed this one , is there a way i can flip the pattern and track view in fl studio 9 , i want patterns on top classic style , thanks .

you won't believe but in version 9 there is no option anymore!
in a next version they will skip the pattern panel also. so there will be only the track panel left.
... and i hope(!!!) there will be more than 99 tracks to edit
looking forward for cubase |

the alternate grid button from the drop down box doesn't seem to be doing anything , invert grid just changes the colors ? , come on , there has to be a way , calling elad , orange and other fl experts , please help .

wtf ! , why are they aping others , im going to install fl 8 and run it alongside then till i get the hang of it , any known issues running 2 versions (not at the same time , just installation wise) ?

fuck , this will take some getting used to , anyway , i was asking if its alright running 8 and 9 both on the same system , like no registry conflicts etc i hope

no there is no problem using more than one version of fl in the same pc.
swapping panels is no more an option and as it looks block view will go away for good in the next version.
i will suggest you to get used to the new play list as its faster and much more easy to organize a good arrangement.
when the first beta came out with the new playlist... the block view just vanish for as we never looked back... give her a chance you will love it!

slowly but surely ditching FL for Cubase
started from group edit , to channels edit , and now to complete creation.
keeping FL8 as plugin.. some plugins and methods cannot be replaced , unfortunately not even by FL9 (for me)
