Hey guys,
I finally got delivery of my Barefoot mm27 monitors after a wait of almost 4 months. I haven't done any mixing on them yet, just set them up & listened to some music.
First impressions, the bass on these is unreal. Very tight & controlled low end, i thought the K+H 0300 had accurate bass but the mm27 are just amazing.
The highs are also much more clearer than the 0300's. The imaging & depth is also great. I know it's cliche but i'm hearing things i never heard before in songs i've heard countless times. These also go very very loud, but you can also hear everything crystal clear at low volumes.
Unfortunately i won't get any time to work with these as i'll be travelling for the next two weeks. I spent a fortune on them but i feel they were worth every penny. I've owned four pairs of monitors previously & i always had some issues with each one. However i finally feel i've found a pair that will stay with me for a long long time.

Sweet!
In a galaxy far far away, I was considering buying a pair. Of course, I'd like to buy a few more important things first.. like a house!
They won't help my music writing ability, but I am fascinated by truly exceptional loud speakers. Maybe one day I will hear them. 
One thought, your monitors look incredibly far apart. Is that normal? Mine are on each side of my 2x 19" monitors. So, about 0.6m apart. I think they sound okay.

I don't know about a house, but i could definitely have bought a car instead!
They are far apart but that's because i just set them up this way for a quick listen. I just packed the K+H 0300's up & they will be going away to my friend who bought them from me.
So the final setup will have the mm27 in the same place the 0300's are in the pic, in the shape of a triangle with 3 equal sides.

same here with focal, though still trying to learn their lows, but the high area is so fucking detailed that if you playback on another system you might think that half track is missing
