Which are th DJs who have given u th worst of experiences.....By that I dont mean 'killed' u etc....
The really bad experiences,where half ur brain got damaged n u were left furious till ur next party.
Here are mine...
Yoshi,a DJ(DerangedJockey) from Goa,supposedly German. Reason-Simple.His source of music is absolute shit!Th worst sounds Iv ever heard.And by that,I mean Each and Every one of his tracks!!
Paulo-An Italian DJ who plays in Goa.(Friend of Tony-A great DJ) Reason- Th worst track selection Iv ever heard. 128 BPM,followed by 143,then 126,then 146,then another 126 and so on.
He literally experiments his music on th crowd,dismissing th ones he doesnot like with a black marker in his case logic....

Samothraki dance festival 2003.
Dino Psaras was playing a set.From the other side of the camping(near the chill out)the cops were all over the place..So..I had to make a decision.Have my brains fried by Dino(who imo was playing rubbish)
or go back to my tent and get booked by the coppers......Fuck that..I dont want to remember that..but I ended up staying at the beach but still listening to this shit Psaras was playing..Dear me....

One time a local dj got a bad day. DJ Psyber played the noisiest vinyls i ever heard + he played to loud for the equipment, i dunno know if he also limited it but it was just one ultraloud noise for some hours. All people stopped dancing and got drunk. But he wanted to play his set till end.
Anyway it was funny

Nomolos that playes in all kinds of parties in Israel...every fucking time i hear him i cant dance with everyone on the dance floor...it feels like i have headphones on,and i can keep hearing him Cue(some times the rest can allso hear it  ) etc.

never had a bad experience while listening 2 a dj (reguarding the sonority..had bad expereinces but not related 2 soundz)..when i don´t like i step away but i respect what he is doing.it is his/her time

Totaly agree with u buddy, but i just have to get one such expirience off my chest, on my way up to the "groove" floor at Zamir i stopped for a few minutes on the lower floor Miko (X-wave) was "Mixing" i donno maybe he had a stroke of some kind during his set or some thing else so i won't judge by this one incident but that wasn't mixing it was strugggling...
i'm sorry that i got dragged into this thread but it just feels like a load is off my chest

Heard some bad mixng and heard some so what? Life goes on and maybe that person is just having abad day as well, they are only humna and human's make istakes... get over it and delete this topic, it's just disgusting trash mouthing!! |

No man i don't agree with u , i think that yes this is maybe not the right way to critisie but still ppl have the right to speak their mind , and some DJ/Artists that promote themselves as legends & as Pioneer dj's can really learn something and get real feedback... what if it's not "wow killah" it has no place here?
be responsible to get good feedback the same way you recieve the bad

Arent we at th DJs mercy when we r on?
Hv u guys not felt helpless... when ur experience could be better only if proper music would b played?
More than anythng else,th scene needs cleaning up.
Dont mean no disrespect to th Jockey community,there are so many super talented DJs there that they strengthen my will to do better in life,reaffirm my purpose of existance.Its these super human beings I want 2 listen to. |

Talking about Samothraki 2003, no need to mention names but one DJ had everything turned up so loud on the mixer that everything was distorting. Every single kick drum came out as a digital crunch instead of a kickdrum.
The FOH engineer kept turning the volume of the speakers down to avoid them getting damaged. It got to the point where we could have a conversation at normal speaking level right in the middle of the dance floor. Don't ask me why I stuck arround because I really can't remember.

Perhaps not just by mentioning only names,but by adding more specific information,like th party,place,maybe even timing of th set and the reason as to y it left u with a bad taste in ur mouth,we can spare any embrassment 2 th concerned person.
He will get a chance to defend himself too...
Let this not b an open mud slinging contest...
How else do th DJs get feedback from th public??
About th two concerned I mentioned..
Yoshi-Always,he wont fail u ever with his stack of MP3s.Its a shame. Paulo-Although a nice guy,his track selection.....
