I have some problems with my windows and i'm about to Format and install the all system drive again, now, I want to back up the all drive DATA so i can restore it if suddenly something goes wrong.

Any good software or methods for backup a whole drive???
I remember using some kind of Norton soft' that zipped everything into a file on other drive of the HDD.

Thanks in advanced.

You can use either Nero BackItUp ... depends on purpose.           Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.

I have some problems with my Windows XP - some repeated error everytime i turn on or restart the computer.

So i want to format Drive C (my system drive) and install windows again.

I need to backup all just in case one of my tunes will miss some filles that i were mistakely put on the C drive.

I'm being very cautious,,,,

Being very cautious is never wrong

Maybe you dont have to format - what kind of error is it?            Signature

I wish i wouldn't have to format.

I'll be glad if you can help me:
Each time i turn on the computer or restart it it says :"the system has recobered from a serious error"

The error info is:
"error signature:
BCCode :76 BCP1:000000000 BCP2:82401020 BCP3:00000004 BCP4:00000000 OSver:5_1_2600 SP:0_0 Product:256_1"

it also says:
"The following files will be included in the error report:
c:WINDOWSminidumpmini041304-01.dmp
c:DOCUME~1adiLOCALS~1tempwer1.tmp.dir00sysdata.xml"

Makes any sense? I don't have a **ucking clue what does it mean ,thats why i'm going for the "easy" solution of format.

EYB thanks for your time anyway

No clue too.

Did you try the XP repair function?

Boot from XP cd, then you can choose anywhere repair, maybe this helps.

Or try to overinstall XP.

If all don't help, i think you have to format

Cool zooter you right!!!
BUT I don't know if it must be so good companies with such a big monopoly tend to know their power and sometime they invst more money in the products and making new products other than supporting their existing products.

Anyway the phone won't help cause i'll probably need to send them the error report theough the internet.

After all i might try it anyway , thanks zooter.

if you format your hard disk try to install 2 operating systems, one only for music, with less windows options, no internet and so on, and the other one for everything else. this way you can prevent your computer from happening that
everytime you uninstall a program or a vst go to windows start menu-run- and write regedit, them make a search for the program you have just uninstalled and delete the registry. programs registry load a lot of cpu
stay well
