In many (actually all of them) tracks there are lots of "voosh brrrr zzzzzt" and all sorts of noises in the background.
How do you make them? Where can I get some presets to get the basics on how to make them?

Don't think my computer can handle Fruity running... It can barely take a few VSTi's running at once without reaching 100% CPU usage.

if u're talkin bout the "farts" so u can use sound forge to do it quickly (with its syth).
if u aint talking 'bout those farts and u ment those flying fx running in the background then u should use a good sampler (hardware or soft, fruity?) and u need to pick an fx u have (wav or make your own) and then program your sampler to play it by your desirable way (reverses, stretches, etc.).
anyway, whether u'll succeed or not, thats the way i do it..... so MIKE, JUST DO IT
cheers...

i agree... for good deep atmo-sounds reverse and stretch may give you remarkable results!
try every combination...
you don't have to make them from scratch... just use your samples....           in search for an answer...

if you want to make an fx.....just make a cool sound in fruity loops, export it to wave....play with it in sound forge or reopen it in fruity or cubase.....kill it with some VST until you happy with it..

In general, in order to create a "background effect", use a different, appropriate reverberation for the sounds you want "backgrounded" + Play with the panning (use autopan) + try gently to cut certain frequencies of the backgrounded sounds.

Good luck

I've tried Absynth and it's quite a CPU hug, or my CPU sucks (probably both).
I think I need more learning with it to make, but from what I've done in the meanwhile (messing with presets), some nice sounds can be created.

A good hardware should do it...
Try to use a good synth or a groove-box to
modulate you sounds, apply all the effects you want, syncronize your machine and bom...

Record all your wierd and bizar little sounds..!
