backdrops cloth !!!

hey guyz.... i've been painting backdrops.... i used some black cloth which was soaking too much of colour & also before painting anything on the cloth i had to paint with loads n loads of white coatings.... its become very difficult for me to paint.... so can anyone plz help me with this? plz temme wat kinda cloth should i use for easy painting & also what about the white coatings.... how much should be given???? or else plz gimme some site which has info on this subject....i need to know all this.....

Hi rave_girl
try to use Jacquard Discharge Paste - it removes color from fabric.
apply this to black t-shirt, iron it and the color will fade off...
then just paint you picture on discharged white area.
PS do not use bleach - it destroys fabric fibers. |

white or black background shouldn't make much difference if you have good paint, the thickness of the fabric defines how much paint it'll swallow... i used really thin cotton recently and saved over 30% on paint
