jump to 1:40 then listen to these old sound engineers morph that vocal into string.
probably done in old analog studio.
i bet this was complicated process back then.
to me is sounds like simple fade in out with flange at end to tie it up

donno it sounds great but yah its just a fade out of the vocal and fade in of the sound. dont think it was complicated even then, just fader down fader up but yah, result is nice.

This, apparently, was a popular 'electronic' production of the same time (1977)
the trippy-factor on this is almost none. i bet pink floyds sound guys would have done better.
but i guess unfair comparison cause they used pure synthesis only
i was surprised to learn that "the doors" first LPs where made in 8-channel studio.
i find some of their songs like 'riders on the storm' tip the scales on the trippy-factory even compared to present day music created on infinite channels.
now i ask myself. r we not overly obsessed with qaulity that we disregard the art of music.
i see hendrix raising his hand in the back there.
