And yes the Russian mafia is very well entrenched in Goa now... to the point where if they want a house, they just walk in, point a gun at you and tell you to sell it to them. Sucky!
Most of the old Anjuna crowd are now in Morocco - PM for where as I shouldn't really say on an open forum - though I probably will if I drink some beer and smoke a doobie
I was in Goa for a week just after Xmas as my daughter was there and I had a terrified fone call from her that some nob was trying to kick her door in while she was in bed - needless to say, it was one of the Starko's muppets and he won't be doing that again
There's such a violent undercurrent in Goa now - it's just not a very nice place at all anymore - sure Arambol is still 'just' about OK, but the rest is trash - have you seen Primrose bar? wtf happened to that place? it used to be THE meeting spot before parties kicked off - Shore Bar? that's lost its charm also. Flea market? used to be Afghanis and all sorts selling their travelling wares - now it's wankers selling plastic to the tourists
dunno why people ,keep bangin on about Goa - it finished years ago - my Uncle still lives there and even he's thinking about moving south to Kerala |
