frequency hz = 1/second,
bpm is beat per minute = 1/60 beats/second =
1/60 beats * hz
do with it whatever u want.

bilbo again u jumping with not related stuff
what u wrote have nothing to do with the question
Kiou Pitch level on cdj's work's on %
thats important to understand
and it sure depend on u'r start bpm
let do it with example
lets say u want to make 140 bpm track to 141
140bpm=100%
100/140=0.714.....
so u add .7% on pitch level
130 -> 131
100/130=0.77~0.8
and so on

sorry folks for agressive atitude
kiou its "arround" yea
but still u cant count only on this when u beatmixing
i say make the pitch +- .8 and run track from cue point
let it run like half min and check if it still match
if not adjust it again (depend on if its faster or slower) and hit play again
till they match exactly
little tip
if u still cant match the beats try to +/- 0.1 on master playing cd player and then try to beatmatch again
P.S. i use also in this small soft that count exact bpm of line in
verry helpfull if u dont have bpm counter on mixer/players
http://www.pyramidedata.dk/autobpm.zip
just run it and start mixing
u'll leard very fast all this bpm matching stuff
boom

Hey 5Meo-Geo thanks alot my friend but my question was not about beatmixing. i know how to beatmix very well. i play like this for 2 years now. i just wanted to know about, cause before a couple of weeks i played in a party in Israel and as it was my first time i didn't know that ppl likes high (at least higher than Greece / Europe) bpm's so i was playing at 140 and i wanted to jump at 144 so i wondered how much should i raise the pitch to get there quik and not to over do it!
5Meo-Geo i would advise you to let run the tracks for more than a minute together and then see if it still match. propably not cause cdj's are not stable (turntables are realy stable), they always loose their match so you have to correct it all the time with the jog!!! but if it's close enought after a minute then you can mix the tracks and just correct them a bit if they'r going to get loose...but until that time u will have already silenced the one track!!!!
and one advise for anybody who want's to beatmix. NEVER use or learn to mix with a bpm counter!!!
Thanks & take care Guys!!!!

hehe
1st 140->144 is like +2.8%
2nd i dont use cdj's i use american djs
those r much more stable than cdj's (not to harm all cdj's fans)
all my sets r running on beatmatching exept few min's to change cd's
never had stability prob's (set goes from 140 bpm to 146-7 bpms) and mostly not loosing a bit match
and yea bpm counters r suck
spetialy djm-500 one
trust u'r ears
