Very strange indeed. A few months back they sent an email stating they picked up the Electric Universe catalog.

so where is an offical message from them stating this? like an email or something? it is weird to hear this rumour and not see anything offical on their web site?

not really my style of trance but they have had quite few good releases like Fatali and Cosma... and the remake of the Sunspot album by Dark Soho.

this sounds really unbelievable.
last year i and my best (girl)friend were doing a research for the university about a field of music distribution and media management and she went to israel ( she is from there but doesnt live there) and talked to the bne guys. after that she showed me figures that were actually really really surprising for me. i hardly know other labels with so high figures of sales and marketing costs and so on. it sounds unbeievable that they closed. end of capitalism? hm. well anyway infected are very far away from ending the capitalism, with or without BNE so i guess we have to wait a little bit before capitalism ends. pity that the labels dont get the most important thing about media management totay. the theory of the long tail. they could do much better nowadays if they would keep to that.

Stop dreaming, capitalism will never end.           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."

of course it will.
everything that has been born, will end ( die) one day. no exception. it is the principle of the known universe.
it is the direction where we are heading towards. an thats why the labels are dying too. and this is the future of the trance market too. people will pay as an act of energy balance and not out of necessity and compulsion. this is the time that is coming earlier or later. energy balance - you get something and you have to pay for what you get if you want to have balanced energy. thats all.

Hebrew only, sorry.

Basically it says that BNE folded because of the distribution, though the Yoyo part itself was in pretty good finacial situations, but since it was the same company with the same books, everything had to close.

Avi Brand, BNE boss, says they're moving to a new place and will re-open.           ---------------------------------------------

be your own label. it is the most promising thing of all. just put your tracks on your website or even on myspace. myspace has a special program for that, at least in some countries, you dont even have to be a part of the burocracy, they do it all for you and have better conditions than for instance i tunes. be your own statement. i would buy it even digital to support the artists. the labels piss me off recently much more than i would ever imagine. no really need for them, we all have the tracks at our homes through the internet even before it was released. really, keep that in mind, it is not the future, it is the past. i am talking as someone who doesnt bother too much to hear mp3, at least if it is a home sound system and not 30kw and then play it. i am not speaking as someone who insists to have the wav on cd. i just insist to support the artists that i love, as an act of energy balance. really, consider being your own label. i was studying the politics of myspace recently, they have really nice conditions and plans.

Moki.Time.Wave.Zero you only seem to be supporting your own theories. No one is asking for your opinion on the concept of labels. This information belongs in a different topic. Put a lid on it. It's called "Survival of the Fittest" Some labels survive and many do not. Relax

Thats just a very disrespectfull thing to say. You are not a supporter in the least, you are a free loader.

To make it clearer- BNE was the distribution. BNE was distributing all kind of stuff here in Israel, trance being a small part of its distribution business. That brought BNE to bankrupcy, taking Yoyo (the label part releasing trance) with it. At least according to that article.           ---------------------------------------------

no one is asking for my opinion. you are so rude people on this forum, i cant express. well then let the mods write it down in the policy that i should not write here. of course i am supporting my ideas, do you expect that i support yours?
and no, i am not a free loader, as a mtter of fact, most artists that i listen to, send me the tracks themselves. but i am trying to give them an idea about the situation with all the rest of the people out there. lots of them are listening to the tracks but just dont wanna support the labels. so period. you are so narrow minded people on this forum. and i definiteyl dont start to abuse first. no one is asking for my opinion? who are you to say that? yes survival of the fittest. survive if you can. but i see you cant.
