Yes. You can control attack of bass with waves Trans-x

first try to set the envelope of the synth before you open Trans-x.
[/quote]You are correct Shachar, but we talk about "Like a sidechain effect" or tune "no adsr" plugs like a vb1 (though possible sampled this), and Trans-x simple way to do this (hhee This is a greeeatt thing in general!)

well i think people should produce what they like and what makes them dance. if you care too much about the original thinking you'll end up making music you don't like and probably other people won't too. it's normal that there are many artists (full on or dark) with similar sound cause influences have a major part here.
and again i say. the sounding between the dark artists is much more similar than between full on artists.
you all talk about the astrix bassline when none of the good full on artists uses it (from 3d vision to Eskimo). and the dark bassline? every dark artists uses it (linear notes, some variations). just because it is in a lower pitch it is more original?
i think dark artists should invest more in developing your style than criticizing others

just my 2 cents

uaaahhhh!! i read this topic and i see Basic post... i think that he comeback to forum... but then i see date

btw funny thing is that in 2006 people start to negate that 'typical classic saw+filter kind of bass' and 6 years later in 2012 people still want to use this overused kind of bass. maybe soon this kind of bass will be another classic sound like 303 acidlines ;]

Actually, I've noticed that a lot of the psy that gets the most attention these days, at least locally, is that which uses more creative, funky, out-of-the-ordinary, anything-but-KBBB bass.

Just an observation. Moving in the right direction?
