Dubstep is the champion when introducing as a break in psytrance...
Some dude I know was very positively touched by this (I think it was after some party with Captain Hook track and the dubstep break in it,"easy riders" remix I think). He said that during influence the dubstep "twists" you as a robot, and when the break ends and the psy beat kicks in it releases you.

I actually heard during parties more and more folks using dubstep during breaks,I'm certainly going to do it in my tracks.           From all the things I lost, that sandwitch cost me most :)

Dubstep (the new stuff with the mad bass chops) has been the new trend for a good few years now, everybody knew about it...so some big names in psytrance, jumped on the trendy bandwagon. What else is new?

Peace out.

Well them Aussie producers of Zenon has been working the wobble right inside their production, sounds top notch.

Well,if we allready on the subject of psystep, does someone knows what is "Bird of Prey" alias when he produced psychedelic trance ? Just out of curiosity.           From all the things I lost, that sandwitch cost me most :)

im starting to use alot of dubstep and dubstep influences in my newer tracks, to create something new with the psytrance as well... but from dubstep influences, it can jump up to some house-like influences and sounds. Then sometimes i will go from hard 140-147 BPM psy to 110 BPM chill-out hehe change is good. sure classic psy is good, but... new generation stands for some new changes in music, hell i think classical and psy go nice together even. If done correctly and the artist(s) know how those particular instruments work, flow, and sound.
And the way i personally see it is... how are you going to learn and grow and create something new if you don't experiment with other genres of music?! I was always told and taught this im sure some of you guys were as well? happy vibes!           http://soundcloud.com/brentmalik

too true! it's funny to me because 2 years ago I actually jumped on the dubstep bandwagon myself.. but since then the scene has expanded and now everyone here blasts the stuff. so i stopped making and found new grooves. but i still have love for it, and the heavy bass drops were so striking that I can't completely forget it. almost all my dance music includes at least some small element of dubstep.
psy is probably the most addicting thing i have found since, but i also love straight uplifting trance.. in my productions i somewhat combine the two sometimes, which i imagine would have some psy purists wanting to strangle me.
i originally was drawn to dubstep for it's variety (back when dubstep had vibes and variety) and fusion of influences..
and whatever sound comes next, it will be a fusion of everything up to this point.. so i say there should be as much cross-over and interbreeding as possible. it is the only way to progress
