have you seen ReaFir?

http://www.kvraudio.com/get/2671.html

it's also unlimited band FFT based 64-bit linear phase eq/compressor/gate... with a built in spectral analyser showing pre- and post-processing. check it out, it rules.

btw all the Rea~ plugins come with REAPER

depends if you define waves as good... if they are *good* like some of the waves tools I'm not interested.

However, after Aeon pointed me to the ReaFIR, I can confirm that I like it - if nothing else.

Have u ever tried Sonalksis compressors and Eq??
After using that , never touched Req again. And I too used it impulsevely. Sonalksis plugs are some serious good shit           www.soundcloud.com/elektroakustica/sets/downtempo/

with EQ its difficult. I would agree that waves EQ's and comps are their strongest suit.

I have issues with the analyzers though.           .

You have problems with waves analisers, like paz?

Can u share your issues? Paz is the analiser most used by me..           Bash's Home:

try SPAN instead, from Voxengo (free) you'll soon see.

More points, block size windowing function, and slope controls - all of which are exceptionally useful.

and for paying stuff - URS comps and eq, are to my ears better the Waves ones, or for precision, its gotta be gliss2 or curve EQ from voxengo. Elemental Audio systems stuff is meant to be excpetionally good too.          .

either way.. you HAVE to d/l the whole suite

i've already worked with Uniquelizer by Roger Nichols, which is an unlimited band EQ and the only thing that really suprized me was a regular multi-band comp BUT unlimited

though.. FIR is quite awesome too           extreme

also, while we are at this spectral compression malarky:

http://www.voxengo.com/product/soniformer/

which is easily one of the most powerful programs I've ever seen, however, also one of the most dangerous, and easy to abuse.

It even has a fluffy button, which does indeed, make everything a little more fluffy.
