Apropos "auto" panning:
1) you can draw the panning curves exactly when and how you like it in the mixer editor....
maybe it's heavy for the CPU, maybe not (your CPU can handle it)
2) if you want to autopan, the autopanner must be the last effect you apply:
(source)-->( misc fx )->(autopanner)->monitors
because otherwise it'll be a bit off beat.
this is why "hand-drawed" panning will be exactly what u need.
