i dont sure i've got u right but try to use those plugns as a "send" insted of "insert"? open fx channel and chose a plug in. and then u can automate it.
hop it helps u it works for me on cubase, dont know what u use...

I'm not sure about the waves-shell stuff. I always thought the Waves plugins were Directx-plugins, so you can't automate them |

..u can automate all parameters - depends what software u use for music tracking.
in logic is simple like pissing!
just chose the right one in arrange list from the pluggin automation list and draw the automation path.
in terms of waveshell... yes, of course u need the waves shell BUT let us know what machine u running them? mac? pc?

Waves are Direct X when you install them.
My friend came over sometime ago and downloaded something for it. and then It was fully automatable . But I reformat my HD and now it dont work anymore.
Im running it on a PC.
If someone knows how please post here.

Jeto: you are probably talking about Sonar.
The vst waves are actually the same plugins run via waveshell (I think). In Logic it's no prob to automate them, but then again, Logic always makes these things easy.

I think you to mean the waveshell.
Waveshell is part of the diamont bundle and should automatically be installed with it.
You yust open waveshell as vst effect, then you can select the plugin you want to use and automate from a list.

Waveshell is automatically installed with any Waves bundle, I think... you need to make sure you have the latest version if you're using Cubase, in which case the Waves plugins appear in their own menu in the plugins list. IR1 and certain other plugins (the musicians bundle, I think?) have their own waveshell.dll files which also need to be in your VSTPlugins folder to add them to the list. It's a good idea to deactivate all the DX versions of the Waves FX in the 'Plugin Information' window of Cubase as this removes any confusion over which version you're using.
Automating Waves plugins is VERY cool.

if u got a proper version, it will ask u if the shell should be installed too. if so, then it s the same as with every other pluggo...

I got waveshell in my pack but i can't automate all DX plugins from waves ! maybe i'm doing something wrong but only 5 plugins showed up in waveshell menu !

Normally it shows up all plugins, maybe some registration failed.
Deinstall and install again helps maybe(?).
