hi
maybe this is a stupid newbie question and has been asked before.. but plz answer it.. cause i am stuck!!:(
i am using FL5 right now for a track of mine and i dont own a controller.. FM7 is one one of the vsts.. now a patch that i am using.. links the mod wheel to the timbre and distortion.. in the FL browser list under automation>generators>fm7 there are a list of parameters.. but unlike the other vsts i use i dont see a parameter for the mod wheel that i can automate.. or maybe it is named something else.. or wat ? ?
i need to automate the mod wheel.. and doing it manually isnt really smooth.. someone help.. i am stuck

Cant u just turn the weel, and then go to the red dot in upper left window of FM7 and click the "plug" dot->Last tweaked Parameter --> Edit events? |

No fraggle,
But u can automate it, but coz of the programming of the FM7, and some other plugins, some parameters need to be controlled with a FL MIDI out.
Insert a MIDI-Out generator and select port 0. Select for the FM7 also port 0 in the upper right corner of its window (before there is just '---').
Open MIDI-Out panel again, select one of the round knobs or the slider, right click it and select configure.
Now u can give it a name (Modwheel for example) and select the controler channel (cc). For the Modwheel of the FM7 normally the cc1 is standart (u see it when u look at the modulation panel of the FM7, the u see the amount named 'Modulation CC1), so select 01 for cc. Now u can tweak the Modwheel of ur FM7 with that knob.
Peace
