Automation disappears - Cubase 5

Hi guys!
I have a problem with my DAW (Cubase 5.1.0) that is driving me nuts!
When I start up Cubase and load a project, some of my automations disappear. Strange enough, it doesn´t happen to all of my automations but just to some of them. It´s REALLY frustrating and time consuming to recreate the automations again.
Anyone got a clue why this happens? As I wrote in the opening line I´m using Cubase 5.1.0. I tried to google it up but found no satisfactory answers.
To me it seems to be a bug or am I missing something out here?

right click on blank space under audio or midi track and thers option show all used automation. |

wich kind of tracks loose automation? instrument trakc, audio trakcs etc..?

Nope I don´t move plugs up or down in chains. I put the plugs in correct order to start with and don´t move them afterwards. But thanks for the tip, I´ll definitely be in that situation in some coming situations.
Haha funny cat btw, at least now afterwards when you have gotten over it. Maybe your tune was better without the automation and your cat knew that? Did you do a A-B comparison? =) You should open up a blank new project and let your psychedelic cat wander around on the keyboard and on the mouse. Maybe the result will be a super psycho killa mega hit!! Try it! =)

For sure I know it happened with automation on a VST-plugin over an audio track. Not sure if it ever happened to other types of tracks...

sometimes those *bad* plugins reset their parameters, so that could also be a case of loosing automation..

Yeah! Sucks ballz when it happens! Anything I can to do prevent it from happening or my best shot is just to keep my fingers crossed? =)
