Question:
Working a Reaktor sequenced drum synth pattern inside SX3 on a MIDI track. When I hit play on the transport bar the Reaktor sequence will always run. How do I make settings so that the sequence will only trigger during designated bars (e.g. 9-16) while still working inside a MIDI track? Do I have to export the sequence as audio? I hope not because that process cuts off any delay or reverb tails at the end of the audio part.
Confuzed..

Depending on the ensemble in Reaktor you can probaly trigger the sequence with a midi-note from the midi-lane Cubase SX. The sequence will start on "midi note-on" and stop on "midi note-off". The "midi note-pitch" is probably routed to the particular sequence that will trigger when the note is played. Turn off Reaktor's "play" button if you trigger sequences with midi or it will play whenever cubase sx plays.
Hope this helps,

Tsss... seems like i underestimated this problem. I was working with the "Massive" ensemble the other day and encountered the same problem. The instrument's manual told me that you can automate the snapshots that are being played from an external sequencer, but in the instrument's wiring scheme it said that this feature is still under construction. Anyway, according to the Reaktor manual the normal route would be to make an empty sequencer snapshot and use midi program change messages to change between snapshots. For this to work the "recall by midi" option should be turned on in the instrument's Properties dialog (Function Page). I checked if this worked and it did marvelously: even the effects linger on after you return to the empty sequence snapshot. Just select "program change" in the Cubase SX controller lane and draw in the changes.
Hope this helped better than the previous post (it sure helped me ),
