If you pick a sample and remove the "warp" thing, then you can pitch it up and down and watch the "length" of it change as well... If you keep on doing this, then you'll achieve the desired effect - if I read you right...

there's plenty other ways to do it... you can, for example, export a part and then insert it into your sampler, then enable the loop mode and automate (or modulate, specially interesting with max 4 live stuff, the later) end position of the sample. It gets to a point where the cycle is so short, you're in audio range, fm territory.

you misread what I said... if you pick some sample, then duplicate it, then turn "warp" off, then go up or down a semitone, then duplicate again and do the same, and keep on doing it, you'll get the desired effect... but it takes quite a lot of doubling and pitching down or up until you get there...

but this makes the rise up or drown effect you're looking for

good idea...but ive discorverd that ableton samples can automate pitch trough semitones automation...pretty easy           https://soundcloud.com/ancientaliengoa
