Hi,
is there a kind of automatic fade in/out plugin which you could put on the master so that you have a behaviour like using winamp, when you start playback ist softly fade in. Ok stop might be not that easy to solve
gate ? autoleveler ?          http://facebook.com/ansolas

don't know any... :-/

both sony acid music and reaper have that feature, easy fade in and out on samples and midi. very usefull!

maybe you can try sonalksis freeG! but you have to draw the automation yourself...

Nah, thats not what I mean.
I mean that it automaticly fade in a incoming audio stream, not process.
That when you hit play on the daw the sound do not start immediately with max volume but fade in some miliseconds, ya know ?           http://facebook.com/ansolas

Can I ask what the point of that would be?

Automation?

Is this kind of thing what your looking for?

(This is not Ableton by the way just an example.)

I know that Ableton live 8 has a setting to have fade ins and outs automatticly placed when importing a new audio clip. They are adjustable once you have the audio in ableton.

>Automation?
simply ease of use, aka ergonomics.
It's simply easier for the ear haveing a fade in playback rather than a clicky harsh boomy attacking playback .

hi, i hope you havent tried this out before.
put a noisegate on the masterchannel.
for mac:
http://www.piticule.com/plug-ins/zimple-gate.html
1. set threshold to the minimum (-80db)
2. with attack you set the fade in time (this freeware tool can only handle max. 1 s)
3. release the fade out time
